expired dividend cheques

Hi good people, i received my dividend cheque for mumias very late coz i had given out my shags postal address so the cheque is stale, does this mean my money is gone. Also what do you do if you dont happen to get the cheque coz i think i did not receive for 2009,

Stale cheque is just that.Simple.
Of no use, may be to light up a charcoal jiko.

Nop!!just walk to Image registrars with the cheque and they issue another one period

Take it to Post Bank they'll cash it out for you for only 50/-
I got my small 2008 cheque late and the registrar advised me to cash there.

BBI will solve it

Don't forget cheque truncation is effective from monday as you pick the replacement, otherwise you might be forced to go for a replacemenet of the replaced cheque.

Cheques truncation deferred till 30th August. Just bank the expired cheque - the receiving bank will not reject it.

It is not the duty of your bank to reject any instrument, unless it clearly said on the face of it that it is valid for a specified time. It is only the bank that issued the cheque that can reject the cheque.

Just got my Kengen dividend cheque from the post, I had not checked since last year, the due date was 11 Feb 2016, is it stale? How long are cheques valid in kenya? 3 or 6 months

6 months, that cheque is still good. it is normally written somewhere on the cheque that valid for 6 months from date of issue!!! bank it mara hiyo hiyo!!!

My last dividend cheque was valid for 12 months. I've heard of some that expire after 6 months.

Yours is definitely still good.
