I have no idea why car loans are such a hit with employers today, or have been in the recent past. Why do I need a car loan in the first place? How else, other than stealing, should I acquire a car? How come no one is asking these questions?

Not all take car loans. Some buy cash, some hire, some inherit, some borow, some buy cheap salvages and repair, some steal, etc depending on what you can afford noting that its not easy for most guys to accumulate cash to purchase the cars hence the option for car loans.

It is every young persons aspiration from school to finish college, get a good job and buy a car then a home. Nothing wrong in the aspirations. As Layman has mentioned it is hard to accumulate cash. Actually you'll be surprised that upwards of 85% of cars on our roads are on loan. Even most lorries from GM or CMC, a sales lady told me 90% of them.
The only time you should be looking down on others is when you are helping them up.

If it comes with good mileage, then grab it. But watch out for ill motives of the employer, he might want to make u a slave for the next donkey no. of years. Alternatively u can save srowry and buy ur self a well kept used car.

A cheap way of keeping money away from the taxman while motivating the employees and also earning small money in terms of interest....Nothing wrong with that.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

It's the most cheap way of acquiring a car especially the first one. Imagine holding an office position that warrants a car allowance and you do not have the said car!!
