Happy 2011 to all wazuans

Who is the best stockbroker in town? In terms of reliability. I need sound advice as I was shafted by Ngenye and this year I wanna trade seriously at a very high frequency...

@Sarrouniya. Sometimes I ten dto think that this question has no answer. It is like a a son asking his dad about the most beautiful lady in the village! That aside, Genghis, AA, Kenstrel, Suntra... Just try as many as you can especially if you are lucky to be in town as you imply. But for a spouse stick to one, the current 1.

I think it depends with the amount of your investment and the follow ups you make, plus your rapport with them, in otherwords you must build a relationship

I almost lost my shares and money at Suntra. It was only after a struggle that I have just managed to transfer my shares elsewhere. For those who have intention of heading there, let them first find out why an employee, Peris Mathenge had to loose her job.

@Bangkok, that must have been a very bad expirience pole sana, though i still believe that close follow-ups and rapport with the people you are dealing with might deter theft or such transfers and these thefts or transfer can occur with any broker, nothing stops it...

Standard investment bank is worth a try....but you have to have an agent who is permanently based at the office.I find it very convenient since all I need to do is call the agent and my trade is executed immediately.
I also think the firm is one of the most capitalised in the industry

if reliable means the execution of orders promptly, well every broker does that....they all want to earn commisions from trading.

Well, that is as long as the order is within the market average prices

Mtoto akililia wembe, mpe, ajikate.
Unatake kwenda Suntra? Enda! Ujikate!
I had to see the MD personally to get my cheque after a sale. And what a war it was to transfer my shares to another broker. The best broker is Kestrel. Try them.
Also register with CDSC to get sms messages for any transactions

@amolo, in my case,I had no option than to call in CMA investigators for assistance.
@maskana, as happy as you might be with Suntra, I would strongly recommend that you to always verify the statements you receive from them against your CDSC statement. I used to receive doctored statements and I only became suspicious when I started to compare them with my CDSC online accounts and found that they had been trading with my shares without my authority.

I am with faida and can recommend them. Used to trade with a bank and they were kinda slow but might be safer than stand alone brokers-went through discount collapse! Dyer, in my humble opinion keep off unless you are a QII doing millions per month-joined them and left after three months and from the noises in their office a good number of customers were unhappy.
Bottom line; with any third party dealing with your money you have to keep your eyes open all the time.
