There has never been a discussion on this project here,however,there was one about housing dev.on golf course in Naivasha & kitengela. I think phase 2 of thika greens will be a similat project.

Who is PK? i thought the land was formerly owned by a coffee society that formed a company for this project. I paid them a visit and it looks like a serious thing (unless pk is a conman).

@mungai,the only construction going on is for perimeter wall at the entrance. Inside the farm,they have cleared all the coffee trees,the 1/4 plots are well dermacated with beacons and they are now doing the roads. When you visit the site office they will show you all the remaining plots for you to choose.

They were initially going for kshs.850,000 but i understand the remaining one (phase1) are now kshs.980,000. For further details contact crystal valuers ltd.

Thanks for the info on who is PK. I am now evn more persuaded the deal is very good. I have been there and the price of 980k per quater is perfect. For those who would like to live in a clean serene and affordable enviromenment,then Thika Greens is just the place to build your dream home.

Was there on saturday and was preety impressed. However,the draft sale agreement had some dodgy clauses which would need to be ironed out. e.g. construction must be done within 3 years. Also the land is charged to equity bank and im not sure how this would affect prospective purchasers who are getting sub leases from Thika Greens.

The correct URL is www.thika-greens.com

There you will find information about the project,the company,the directors etc......

Regarding Peter Kenneth; my guess is that he advised the co-op to take this route in order to make more money from their land,instead of the usual sub-division and selling of plots. Peter is that kind of a leader. After all,that property is in his constituency.

remind me again why we don't want to elect him for president.....

This are the kind of projects we needed like yesterday in Kenya! Other than the website,I have also seen the same in details in a local magazine(SMEs today,September issue). It sure sounds like a great project.

@Mukiha

We would like to vote for PK,but he doesnt seem to be interested in being our President,or am i the one behind news?

The price is almost to 1M and there are very few plots left. It seems that it is mostly Nairobi folks buying the place hence the high valuation. Most Thika people I know have decided not buy in the place (other than to flip the property) since there are much better deals you could find in Thika at a much better place than beyond High Level(the name of the place). But their strategy to market it almost exclusively to Nairobi people seems to have worked out.

By the way,the project has a long timeline so don't expect the whole thing do be laid out until 2013-2014.

At 850,given the distance from the main road...it seems they have factored future prices which is not a good deal for anyone buying to sell,and yes there are better deals in Thika in more serene envirronments.

@ Gladiator / Nairoberry / Simonkabz.

How much are plots at Maki estate going at? I think this place is even better than Runda.
