Guys, reckon the index will quite easily breach the 6500 mark in 1 yr time. My reasons for this are quite simple.

1. Banks are awash with cash. Alot of this liquidity will find itself in the stock Market. Borrowing money today is easier and cheaper than it has ever been. Fixed deposit rates and call rates are a joke. At 1.5% pa, ud rather buy a stock that pays 4% divs.
2. The public is awash with cash. Just look at the latest statistic of new cars imported in Kenya (maybe mitumba but new in Kenya)
3. Political stability.
4.there are stocks still quite cheap. Eg jubilee has been growing eps for the last 8 years on an average of 25%. That means every 4 years, it's profit doubles.at the moment, it's trading at a trailing pe of 10; 'Nuff said?!?! Among others.
5. Wait for the fund managers and foreigners to jump in. This lull we are going thru isn't sustainable so if u has cash, no time like the present.
6. EAC is heavily tilted in our favour when it comes to biashara, goods etc. Also the infrastructure being built in the region is quite heavy investment and this is sure to increase business.

Just passed by my broker to sort out some issues, i tell you people are selling, selling, selling. In the 10 min i took to finish my business, the attendant received no fewer than 5 calls, people asking if their sell orders had gone thru. After this selling frenzy is done, we will see prices shooting up.
Life is short. Live passionately.

Shame on you @sparky, I believe those who are selling are the one who were panicking when there was a slight market correction last week. Also remember school are opening in a couple of weeks time.... Fees zatafutwa. So dont panick. Has fundamentals changed? I believe No.

I do not see much correlation between schools openning and shares selling. Once I waited for prices to drop in December so that I could take a position and was shocked, the prices rose from Dec to March!

The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.
