@Sheri,

And the local fotoman and his Lubitel camera??.....Bure kabisa....!You would sit there the entire day waiting for the skies to clear.........The ritual was as complicated as surgery.

@Mpenzi & sheri........................ waat you got memory.

Plus there used to be these elders who made village announcements like,the day to pluck coffee,chief baraza etc.etc. Now he used yap on top of every village hill and he could go like this.....ohooooooooooooooo numuthikererie matemo (Be attentive and listen to the news) muthenya wa ruciu (Tomorrow there will be)..............................ucio waigwa noere ucio ungi (to those who have heard,you can as well inform your neighbor).
The problem would be if it was a chief baraza and you fail to turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u attract the wrath of the chief

..I still have gramophone LP records dating back at least 20 year. All in mint condition...and a turntable to play them [a more recent acquisition-2003/4]...oh!! the joy of wiping the LP with a carbon fibre brush and placing the needle on the record ever so carefully.....and the the music plays....the warmth....why did they invent CDs?

those vets........if your cow lgave birth,....they'd insert their hand past the elbow inside the cow's thing ati to remove placenta..........no wonder I never aspired to be anything close to a vet....
