During the just concluded poll, which media hse lived to its name? I think CITIZEN TV beat them all....they were ahead in reporting figures and had excellent graphics.

NTV did it. they were way ahead of everyone else. Articulate reporting. Good analyses. Sharp reporters

I think KTN held the tail, literally.

Are you sure you didnt see Citizen giving "YES" over 6million votes shortly before IIEC gave the final tally? How could they do this when all TV channels were meant to give similar figures at every stage since the source was only ONE.

@Mwenza,
I also thought what citizen did was a little irresponsible.All other stations stuck with the official tally.That should not be repeated as it is a recipe for kung'oa reli as we saw in 2007.....but yes,their reporting was way way ahead of the competition.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Right from inception, Media houses took sides on the referendum process.
It is a right we can not deny them.
In a situation where an entity has taken a firm decision one way, it is naive to expect them to be entirely objective when dealing with the matter.

Nation media did, but took caution to remain fairly covert about their feelings on the matter.
Citizen threw all caution to the wind and hit the campaign trail to actively push for the passage of the document.

In the final reporting of the goings on, over voting, counting and tallying processes, Citizen invested heavily to an extend that rivalled IIEC - complete with their own tallying centre generously equiped.
They just went all out.

Judging from that, they take the gold, though at times they may have seemed overzealous.
Someone must tell them that too much enthusiasm may "spoil the broth".

Nation werent bad either.

KTN's coverage was very poor and wins the wooden spoon hands down. Nation TV's Karibe and David Namu were very good.
