====KBC business =====
Nairobi Stock Exchange will phase out from Friday the prompt board as it embraces global trading standards.

NSE Chief executive officer Peter Mwangi says the phasing out will automatically bring to an end the trading of equities on the Prompt Board after the close of the trading session of Friday.

Consequently, all trading of equities from Monday August 2, 2010 shall be on the Odd Lots Board and the Normal Board.

The prompt board was originally initiated to assist with quick settlement during the manual environment.

He says the phasing out of the prompt will further enhance transparency within the market, boost market confidence and enhance foreign investor participation.

Survival for the fittest buda. But in any case, if you are an investor and not a trader/speculator, short term market fluctuations should not worry you

It is a group of people who give loans to invest in shares. Infact I know a guy who can hook you up with a loan from the prompt board.

thanx for the explanation though i haven't gotten it properly... of course in such a case they get interest in the end while you get to keep all the risk of the transaction right?.. so no thanks for the loan bit smile
