The article was good. Especially quips such as:
“It was the carpet in the stadium. We Africans play well on grass,” offered Nyayo.
“They want Ghana to play at night so that they can lose,” complained one customer.

But what you are suggesting is blasphemy

@Bambatele - I agree with @youcant... How dare you compare this dude to Whispers? Whispers was in a class of his own - Wacha hiyo mchezo yako kijana! Almost everyone used to read the whispers column. A huge percentage of Kenyans bought the Sunday Nation just because of his column - everything else in the newspaper was just a bonus!

This mwalimu fellow might be good but you need far much more than that to even get close to whispers!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Mwalimu is slowly but surely getting there. His brand of humuor is unique. I now hav a reason to buy the sunday nation just like it was the days for Whispers.
You will know that you have arrived when money and time are not mutually exclusive "events" in you life!

@Bambatele... I agree with you. Every morning I get to the office on Monday morning I open the lifestyle magazine online just to read Mwalimu's article. He is too funny. This week's story about how he got onto facebook was a killer. This chap needs to get a full page. I hope The Nation is listening. Whispers was good but this guy is the closest we have had since!

Something bird tells me that this Mwalimu guy is a Wazuan. Remember there was a post here kitambo about somebody headhunting for a humour writer. Maybe the Mwalimu is Mukiha.
