I've been with AAR for a decade. Have no complaints. I once moved out and went to MediPlus---ouch!! You know how that one went, don't you.

Now I'm beginning to think that I should try another provider.

Anyone at Resolution?

@nahdy; I am interested in both cost and service quality. Looking at Resolution's costs, I find that they are quite high.

I pay about 75k for silver card covers for my family of 4 at AAR. Each member gets an 8m cover (4m local; 4mworldwide)

For a similar amount, resolution is offering me a 5m cover for THE WHOLE family; i.e., we all share the 5m.

Now, I'm wondering why such a large difference.

The time when I have needed to take my people to hospital, I have had a few logistical issues with AAR - especially delays in approving discharge of patients.

So; is the service at Resolution worth the high price?

@mukiha, I suspect the difference is because AAR have their own clinics and pharmacies, hence are able to control drug and doctor costs. Nduati at Resolution has to outsource everything, and outpatient (if I'm not wrong is the killer)

@GG; AAR uses their clinics only for out patient care. The inpatient service is out-sourced and is much, much cheaper than Resolution.

So I ask again, why?

After having encountered both, let me say AAR controls EVERYTHING.Shame on you From referrals to how long you stay in hospital etc.

And should you chose a doctor away from their list reimbursement of his costs takes forever even if the doctor charges the same as theirs..Many things are cast in stone here.

With Resolution at least the doctor's have some flexibility and they are open to negotiations.
I am happily with Resolution. smile
