I remember times fuel prices went so low that KQ's profitability was negatively affected for a while! Why? They had hedged the fuel prices at a very high price!
Then fuel prices rose and KQ profitability was negatively affected. Again! Why? They had not hedged!!!
It is a circus at KQ! Senior staff wanachinja ndege (stripping planes for parts), the planes are grounded then they sell back the same parts to the airline through corrupt channels. That is as low as it gets! How do you trust such senior managers with ANYTHING else!!?? You don't expect even your Grogon mechanic to behave like that when you take yoir car to them for repair!!! Everyone benefits at KQ except passengers and Obiero! And the mikora have no shares because they know the racket they are running!! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Thanks. Sanlam balance sheet does not look good. 1. Negative retained earnings. 2. Current price is above NAV Any reason in particular that made you have it in your list? Ama ni jaba ya Exchange bar? Dumb money becomes dumb only when it listens to smart money

Yes. Pending buyout. A turnaround stock. Remember the recent Allianz merger, plus uptake of the entire non life business from Jubilee COOP, IMH, KEGN, KQ, MTNU

Remember, you make money when you BUY. Not when you sell. I think you already have your answer on how (not) to proceed with Sanlam. See my signature below. Never count on making a good sale. Remember that you are an investor while I am a trader. What you are implying is impossible at the NSE, people have to sell at some point, whether it is you or your next of kin, a sale will happen COOP, IMH, KEGN, KQ, MTNU

What you are implying is impossible at the NSE, people have to sell at some point, whether it is you or your next of kin, a sale will happen I think you misunderstood me. I didn't say don't sell. Buy. Sell. That is all good. What I mean is that money is made at the point of buying. Not selling. Selling just realizes the money already made. Simple example: Everyone knows Dindi Nyoro made money in KPLC at the point of buying. Not selling. Selling just actualizes it. Otherwise everyone would have rushed to buy and later sell KPLC and make as much money as Ndidi Nyoro. But it doesn't work that way! Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

@Obiero... "Money is made when you buy, not when you sell" means that profit is determined by the purchase price (buying below market value) rather than the selling price. Securing a great deal ensures equity is built instantly, making the sale merely the moment profit is realized, particularly in real estate, investing, and marketing. Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
