The KQs of banking Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

It's like KQ in a WhatsApp group with Emirates, Singapore and ET discussing profits and capitalization!

You took the words from my mouth.

It is like using Airtel's financial to discourage someone from buying Safaricom at whatever price.

Which of the banks people invest in here is likely to be in the list!!??

Think bigger. There are 75,106 KQ minority shareholders. Singling out 1 vocal shareholder to try create an illusion won't stick. Meanwhile, this thread relates to financial sector, is this good or bad news

Equity is working hard to recover depositors' money. Good for Equity.

When companies like this which defaulted on whole Kshs. 19 Billion, banks have to act decisively to recover the money. That is what shareholders want to see!! Sasa hawa 19 Billion defaulters sijui ama they were planning to default!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

True. Foreclosures are never pretty. Let us hope and pray the NPLs are kept in check and KESONIA does magic in the sector https://www.businessdail...-mid-tier-hotels-5190954

KESONIA, while welcome, cannot make a bad loan become good.

That's true, but a standardized rate should curtail predatory pricing. CBK should go further and introduce a max margin, the + must not be limitless

You know you are advocating for interest rates control, right?

You cannot have a max margin unless there is a max risk profile. Unless of course we say people past a certain risk profile should be denied loans! That is exactly what happened during the interest rates control era.

Yes. Exactly that! Remember not all applications are approved anyways, so why not have a point beyond which the greed is capped

An unnamed airline should do the same with the crazy high voices.

KE banks will be better off without government subsidies to KQ and protection of KQ. So many flower exporters would love more flights to JKIA.
Hotels would love more flights to Mombasa.

Sasa 28B bank debt was already converted to shares. That's milk poured. Haizoeleki. Still to come, KES 66B debt conversion. Long live KQ 😂
