Finally NSE 20 has punched through 1800 to close at 1804

If we push through 1826 then the road to 3,000 opens smile

First target 2000 then 2500 then is when you think about 3000

Have you lately gone through the "Elliott Wave Analysis Of The NSE 20"?

We survived death by a thousand cuts...a decade lost. Need to make up for lost time.

3138 is the target for NSE 20 smile Kaende!

Politics aside (trust deficiency) as a pure macro trade signal, low inflation is good for equities.

On interest rates I hold the view it's a lagging indicator in this market. There is a lot of dumb money which is not efficiently allocated. I'm not sure there is a good plan to convince the market to lower rates because there is no threat of high inflation. I guess we wait and see how the dumb money responds.

NSE-20 has increased 22% beating the best bonds on offer this year.smile

does the volume support the bull?
There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

Not yet. But will likely pick up. It does not go from zero to full throttle in an instant.

NSE20 finally crosses the 2000 mark for the first time since October 2021, yes, 3 years ago.
Opened 2024 at 1500 and closed at 2010. Up 33% for the year.

Happy 2025!

From August 1, 2025 on the Nairobi Securities Exchange, shares on the Main Investment Market Segment (MIMS) will be traded in lots of 1 or more. The odd lots board will cease to exist.

Long overdue.
This should help clean up the shareholder registers as well.
Too many shareholders with less than 100 shares in some firms. These are shareholders who have sold out but for the "odd lots"

South Africa's benchmark index crossed 100000 level (all time high). P/E ratio of 15.1x.

NSE is trading at P/E ratio of 6.8x. There is still room to push higher

There's a huge difference between Kenya and SA.
What do GSecs in SA yield?
Then compare to Kenya.

Much better than Dustbowl manenos.

Jaribu kuuza your plot dustbowl ndivyo utajua paper wealth (ama ni dust wealth?Laughing out loudly) ni kusema nini!! Utazunguka mpaka uchoke. Then brokers will be on you like vultures. And you have to be paying people to go show prospective clients the land or in no time your wasted man hours plus fuel will be more than what you end up selling the plot for.

I love land and I invest in it but I am not as delusional as some fellows. I know what "it is worth" and what I might get are totally different things.

If plots are going for 1.5m in a certain area and on fool (and his money) is convinced to buy one at 4 million, immediately the story becomes "Hapa siku hizi plot zinafikisha 4 million!!" Good luck getting a customer for that. Hata hiyo 1.5m unaweza kosa. Na bado broker anadai 150k. Hataki hata 70k!!

And in the current economy it is worse!! No one in their right mind will take a loan to buy a plot for speculation unless the asking price is dirt cheap (pun intended). You either have cash money or you have an immediate plan for the plot. Paying 20%+ interest on land for a plot you have no immediate plan is crazy work!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.
