Britam has already confirmed participation. Recall that in the last cash call, 3B was returned to shareholders as an oversubscription

2024 is very different from pre-2020 (COVID)

95% of existing shareholders have approved the exercise. whatever happens happens

More pain and delay of Britam shareholders in receiving a dividend.

Conjecture

KES 4 per share rights. >95% success rate incoming

Obiero predictions are easily pre-determined.
The outcome is already known

How many HFCKR have traded since the issue was opened? What is the last day of trading HFCKR? Did the top 10 shareholders agree to defend their rights? Watch and learn

Proposal to increase KE banks core capital to 10B by 2027(potential for more cash calls)
Britam has loaned to HFCK at 20%.
There are other cheap banks with sufficient even excess capital(therefore dividends).
A pass. Admire Obiero's conviction though.

There is probably a single Equity branch that made more than 460mn PAT Laughing out loudly
HF will really need to ramp up its profits to have the same EPS pre-Rights. I hope it does.
