Equity to inject Sh11bn capital into DRC unit
Equity Group is set to inject additional capital of $100 million (Sh11.5 billion) into its new subsidiary Equity Banque Commerciale du Congo (Equity BCDC).
The move will raise Equity’s cumulative investment in DRC to more than Sh27 billion, underlining its confidence in the future growth prospects in that market.

I am loading more tomorrow. I hope there will be supply.

Yesterday after Safaricom hit 12.70/= I made an order at 13/= but demand suddenly went through the roof with the share closing at 14/=. Today has been a day of zero demand. I hope Equity doesn't do that to me tomorrow.

Below 40/= cum dividend is a steal bwana!!! 10% dividend yield with the first dividend almost immediately upon entry.

I am over exposed to Equity - a huge percentage of my holding - but I am going all in!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Got me some more Equity at sub 40/= today!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Equity Bank Shares bought tomorrow 19th May still qualify for the dividends right???
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Yes.
They will trade ex-div from today onwards.
Mark you some shares, ex-div, are trading at lower than cum-div price minus dividend amount.

So don't be too disappointed next week if Equity share price drops to less than 36

Yeah, I know it might. Especially on Monday. If there is madness on Monday I attack with my BAT and Safaricom war kitty and use my dividends to buy more Safaricom and/or BAT shares ex-dividend depending on prices.
