Based on my experience guys , no worries.

In general give up to 5 working days from the stated date for them to pay.

It is only banks , safaricom and kengen that
pay promptly .

Kengen Full year dividend and Safaricom interim dividend are the ones to close the year.
Both to be announced within the next 4 weeks

Announcements in 2021 but payment in 2022.

did tumbilii Govt raid KenGen's 'idle' cash while raiding cash-rich parastatals for budget money?..that and delayed payment by KPLC would mean that KenGen has no real cash to pay dividends.

Kengen will do two dividend payments in FY 2021/2022

you mean there will be an Interim dividend? I have learn't not to have any expectations for KenGen. You raise your hopes then full year results hit you with surprise deferred tax (2021) or penalty 42.8% compensating tax (2016) for paying dividends after receiving tax credits.

This company serves the Government & employees just like an Airline that has well paid employees but bad for shareholders.

Not really interim dividend.
FY2020 was paid in July 2021 when the current financial year had started.
FY2021 will be paid in February 2022.
Was answering your statement that kengen has no real cash to pay dividends.

They need the money for their expansion into Ethiopia. Apparently they will be borrowing from Kenyan banks too.

Seems the dividend drought will extend into 2022. Banks may not go back to pre-covid dividend levels in 2022. Management and boards are liking the flexibility of having oodles of free cashflow to play with.
