Hey guys...

I have this business that a friend and I started in November, 2018.

It is a short-let management for house owners who have furnished apartments, rooms and homes or those who wish to have their houses to be rented out as furnished homes (We can furnish if required).

We manage the listing in sites like airbnb, booking.com, homestay, vrbo, tripadvisor, jumia travel, agoda, homeaway, expedia, social media marketing and many other sites that are frequented by travelers and vacationers. We are also looking into partnerships with organizations that have exchange programs etc for bookings as well as tour operators.

Generally, we do all we can to maximize the returns are good as this is a growing market and individuals, families as well as organizations are constantly looking for furnished homes for their short stays, an environment that is different from hotels and which offers more freedom and enjoyment.

P.S: We are investing in a program that helps us manage the listings bookings on the houses we manage as well as offering free services to complement the stays.

Therefore, I am here looking for an investor. Either in the form of a house owner or a financier who can provide capital that help us with marketing as well as furnishing finances.

This January, we have acquired 3 two bedroom houses (1 under renovation) that need furnishing and put on listing hence the need for a financing investor.
on different sites, accounts and reporting all under one platform.

Anyone interested can respond here for contact details and/or for more discussions on this.

Thanks! smile

So what have you done so far.
How many days are occupied in the month you have been in business?
Where is the business coming from? AirBnB or Jumiaetc.
What do you need the cash for? If you are hosting on AirBnB what marketing costs are these that you are incurring?
Are you and your friend doing this full time ama hii ni side hustle.

Nice questions! smile

Well, I'll answer each in that order:

1. We began in November with two 2 bedroom houses, one was to be renovated and one was ready for guests. The available one was booked for the whole month of December, and for 10 days this January. We are expecting to nail another booking for the first two weeks of February.

2. The business came from AirBnB for a one week booking. The rest of December was from booking.com and the January one was from a guest who requested for the services via Facebook. The February booking, hopefully, will have come from a referral from the December guest.

3. The cash is needed for both marketing and furnishing expenses. We host on AirBnB, booking.com etc but it's not always that you will get guests from these platforms. We will set aside marketing cash to enable us do a shout out of our services on google ads and social media as these, we believe, will also boost the chances of our rooms being filled up. We will also do physical/offline marketing.

The furnishing bit will be for the houses we acquire that are not furnished yet or that need a face lift.

4. Yes, my friend and I are doing this full time. We are committed to see this through as we envision a great growth potential in the business.

The name is KejaKeys

The website is yet to be launched as well as the official social media pages. The reason for this delay is because we were still collecting content to use for the internet marketing.

PS: The inquiry we received from Facebook was through a post made to a certain group via a personal account.
