@MatataMingi, those are very kind words. Thank you. And thank you for the grains. It was a real honor meeting you and @Kingfisher, another great man who introduced me to hydroponics.
For anyone who cannot get their hands on Kefir, milk or water, there is another alternative. Equally good or even better.
Fermented Cabbage Juice and/or Fermented Cactus juice. In their quest for world dominance, German's discovered a way not only to prevent disease in the tough conditions, but heal it too using pro-biotics/gut flora. It's a cleanser too; shredded cabbage has been documented to fight nematodes in the shamba.
To make it, you only need an airtight glass jar (Fido), a juicer (or grater for the cactus) and an organic cabbage/cactus. Organic because you don't want to be consuming pesticides, inorganic fertilizer etc. You can get organic at the Organic farmers' market like the one in Paddy Arms, Karen every Saturday morning.
Juice the cabbage/cactus, store it in the air-tight glass jar for 3 days. It will foam, then settle.
Consecutively, mix a little of that fermented juice to new juice. This will take 24 hours only.
Good luck and God bless
