It might peak at ksh.7 per share

heavy foreign buys today, the only stock with net inflow as per now

It should be trading at ksh.8

Why? Any news apart from AG appointment?

6.08 touched

the rally is on!, posibility of two dividends this year 0.40 for 2019 and 0.50 for 2020

The Chances for dividend are Highly slim. almost zero at 95% confidence level.

It has nothing to do with faith or my pleasure. It's either there is a dividend or not. If you say there is none, you better cite your sources so that we know if to take you seriously or not.

With kenya power not signing to take up additional power due to excess power in the country, not feasible to build the plants.

I fail to see the benefits of floating panels vis a vis free standing panels since availability of land and sunshine hours is not an issue in most of Kenya.

I like the idea if it is feasible.

1) Reduces evaporation of water from the dam. There's a YouTube video of canals covered with solar panels in India that also does so.

2) Use the same infrastructure to evacuate power vs building a new Transmission line from a remote place.

3) Solar power during the day. Hydro at night. This is important when there is a drought.

Noted but
1. To reduce evaporation, shade balls might be cheaper;
2. Infrastructure - the remote places are underserved by power infrascture plus all the main power evacuation lines pass through the remote places to reach urban centres.
3. Other methods arr more effective mitigate drought like reforestation and reclaiming water towers from encroachment.
4. Plan will interfere with local economic activities like fishing

1) The floating solar panels are not solely to reduce evaporation but offer a 2-in-1 benefit.
2) Is there a point to your statement?
*I said since the infrastructure is already in place, the electricity from the solar plants can hitch onto the existing T-lines.
3) Solar panels do not mitigate droughts. I said they act as an alternate to hydropower during droughts. The reforestation should happen regardless of floating panels.
4) The benefits of floating solar arrays > other activities. Also it is unlikely the panels will cover more than 50% of the dams' surface area.

Financial Year 2020 closed on 30 June. Maybe they will make a ividend declararation as they announce their 2020 results by end of October 2020.

only the consultants conducting feasibility studies on the viability of the many 'fantasy' projects are making money. The dams are still full & geothermal power is being curtailed...if only KenGen can just focus and generate ROI for the shareholder..Ooops, the main shareholder doesn't care for a return on investment.

Sad, but thinking of future, this may not be bad it's currently happening in ET
