I still don't get it how a night curfew from 9pm to 4am would stop the spread of the virus. That's the time most people are asleep.

Nope, kizungu mingi very lost leadership.

Except for movement into and out of nrb, and schools and church closures, life in the city has been normal. All businesses, malls and offices are open. One wouldn't even know that there is corona. I see that even pubs are open pretending to be restaurants with tables full of walevi and tusker. With curfew hours relaxed, i see people drinking kama kawaida up to 9pm.

I know the virus has been notified to change the transmission time from 7 to 9pm

People socialize in Bars, keshas and other gatherings in the evenning after work.

Corona hates gatherings.

To be home by 9.00 especially in Nairobi, one got to be on the road by 7.00pm.Having left work at 5.00pm by 7.00pm you are still sober enough not to be kissing and hugging everybody in the bar.

One more thing.......Contact tracing made easy. You are picked easily kwa nyumba.shh

Manfuli is right. Ask your own heath minister how many covid patients are there in our hospitals. Don't confuse that with healthy people being taken to quarantine facilities.
having a virus in your body is totally difrent than being seriously ill/sick of the same. Today Kenya has over 3million people with corona virus.

asymptomatic/mild cases are not 'healthy'.

I don't know since when did having a flu was treated as if you have a desease.
An average human being is never 100% healthy. It's constantly fighting harmful bacteria and viruses.

this is not a flu! Tanzania has done something interesting. All people who come to the hospitals with symptoms are sent back home. Told - go steam yourselves. we used to get videos of spectacles... men in PPE burying people at night. Sasa if someone dies at home... we don't get to know.
Of course, it will kill the elderly more. in Italy the median age was 62

Africa has a much younger population. Not too sure what's then happening in Brazil which should be the country with the highest number of deaths attributed to Covid by the second half of this week.

but that story of "corona imekwisha" in Tanzania is a lie. Any country that is doing any kind of surveillance is noticing a spike at the border with Tanzania
This is Zambia - the leading district is the border town with Tanzania followed by Lusaka - where you would expect to be leading.

the Mutukula border crossing is also causing quite a bit of issues for the Ugandans.
South Sudan is also a problem... Ugandans are having many problems at the Elegu border crossing point I think huko ni Mungu tu d'oh!

Skynews yesterday tried to fake the Tanzanians are dying story but ended up relying on the US Embassy warning to its citizens in TZ for the better part of the story. I still believe if guys were dying at the rates/proportions suggested by doomsayers the Western media would have managed photos/video clips and sneaked them out. Urongo propagated by wazungu.

UMK figures (projections) for extending curfew was another hilarious talk.

Smartphone usage in TZ is very widespread and therefore "no tree would fall in the forest without someone hearing it, recording it or sharing it on twitter etc".

Those exist. No confirmation of what is killing them though

it is - we need to take a few steps back and realize that
1) this thing takes time before it builds up to killing people. TZ was implementing measures at one point and handling the disease in a standard manner. is it brewing internally? I don't know but I don't see how its not!
2) the spectacle of Covid has been people dying enmasse in hospitals and burials by people dressed in PPE. Remember when videos of diseased people being buried at night as taking place? Tanzania is sending everyone who comes with symptoms back home... aende a vute steam! What this does is that while 80% of the people will have no issues the ones that die at home die away from the scrutiny of the curious internet. The disease will still kill those who it kills but across hundreds or thousands of houses across the country. Remember TZ is not doing posthumous testing of Covid - ambaye amekufa amekufa.

Anyway... that's the information I have gathered so far. Tunaharakisha Covid ni kama huwa inafanya vile tunataka

The makeshift hospital at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal was expected to open in April, but was not ready until May 4 – and is now being disbanded after being left unused, The City first reported.

“As part of our hospital surge, we expanded capacity at a breakneck speed, ensuring our hospital infrastructure would be prepared to handle the very worst. We did so only with a single-minded focus: saving lives,” de Blasio spokeswoman Avery Cohen told The Post Friday.

“Over the past few months, social distancing, face coverings, and other precautionary measures have flattened the curve drastically, and we remain squarely on focused taking that progress even further,” Cohen added.
