Haiya, I thought old people celebrate wedding anniversaries while children and maybe college students celebrate birthdays.

Nevertheless gifts for the parents are important bonding gestures necessary from time to time, whether or not there is a celebration.

If you've got him a suit, get him a nice pair of shoe.... they looooove showing them off...

Can you imagine how you would feel if your son showed up one day and said he remembered your birthday even if you stopped celebrating it 20 years ago? The fact that they can remember overrides the idea of you celebrating it or not.... Its the thought.....

This is a very feminine reaction Wendz. You are imagining how happy you would be if your son remembered your birthday. Its a wonderful feeling that he remembered.

I really appreciate Wazua for showing us just how different we are. If my son remembered my birthday which I hardly remember myself I would get very worried about him and wonder whether he is OK. I would also not stop wondering what EXACTLY he wants from me.

just as Wendz has said the old man does not even know it is his birthday. I just wanna surprise him.

@ Kusadikika. He is not the type who will wonder what I want from him because he knows me well and know that I just want him to be happy.

hehehehehehe... wouldnt you be worried if i gave a masculine reaction? I would be very very worried...... Even if it was close to a semenya reaction i would be worried too... But actually, it does not matter whether you do remember your birthday or not but i know deep down inside you is a young spirit that wants to be remembered, appreciated and treated well... I know you are all macho @kusadikika but i also know, no one is all macho without a soft spot no matter how "hard" he looks..... Its not like he is buying some chocolates and biscuits for him....d'oh! d'oh! now that is a good reason to worry.

What does you father like? What hobby does he have? Mine likes bikes, roads and I presented him with a blue cross ring for his birthday this year. He was happy with what I gave him:)
