You are not serious; are you?

So how does your portfolio look like/

You don't have to list actual numbers - percentage holdings will do.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Having been around for so long, I put very little new cash these days... I'm also not very far from official retirement age!

I'd say 75% of my purchases are from profiteering.

LOL... 'official' retirement age! I like the term but I am sure you have many more years & ventures left!

you should only put only truly surplus money into stocks...period
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

I define surplus as all the money that remains after taking care of food, shelter and clothing

What!? You pay for that? Is that even legal???Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

Good for you. Keep going and one day you will be rich. But do try not to trade stocks too often. Buy quality stocks and hold on to them for the long term.

@qw Try and achieve balance. Even as you save and invest, have a little fun on the side. Saving money should be a means to an end not the end itself...
