The Jury is still not out on this. I'd wait for more information esp given that there are those pushing for drugs currently stuck in their labs Americans are capitalistic in every sense of way, am waiting for tests from Asia (India and South Korea), Europe (Italy, Germany Spain and UK) Even Africa. The first American to die of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus that has become a global pandemic, succumbed weeks earlier than initially believed, officials in California said late Tuesday. But reclassifying their deaths as related to the coronavirus suggests the virus had been spreading through the United States for much longer than was initially thought — potentially for weeks or even months longer.

Be careful about the messages you spread on Covid 19. Your life, you children's lives and your neighbours lives may depend on it. That Zelenko guy has no proof of the claim that he made. None, Zero, Nada. He just said he had cured people and Trump and co just followed like talking parrots. And you know these right wing nuts are just that. Nuts. Study after study. None of these studies are showing any proof that Trumps witch doctor concoction is working. There is more data that cigarette smokers are getting less infected than the general public. Stay away from anything Trump if you want to your family to survive. Thieves are not good people. Tumeelewana?

Trump has shown you that he doesn't care what you think or do so long as you are outside the US.
It's about time you stopped caring too and focus on your home grown solutions with other like minded people or countries.
On the homabay issue.
The driver is not against being in isolation.
(he is not in the media so forgive his communication skills)
He thinks he should be there based on clear facts.
The man his family and even the people he took to homabay are even challenging the CS.
Was the CS misled?
Does it mean we stop going to funearals or other emergencies?
Imagine someone whom you don't get along (I am avoiding the word enemy) mentions you as a recent close contact.
How will you defend yourself as you are bungled to an isolation centre.
They will even label you a hostile victim.
As you think about your defence just know not everyone is as lucky as you.
The media even stopped following up on the siaya issue. Why? I hate the fact that The Virtual Republic of Wazua does not have the "Like" or "Love" Button. I hate it indeed. https://m.facebook.com/s...&id=178344265547133
There is like ot hate button here Also something else to ponder about. A trader told me that 60% of trucks which used to deliver food to Nairobi have stopped doing so .reason being the high exorbitant charges authorities are charging to get the necessary papers. So prepare for higher food prices soonest. corona is fast becoming a cash cow to some people. Politics is just things to keep the people divided and foolish and put your trust in men and none of them can do nothing for you...

Quote:The coronavirus could linger in the testicles, making men prone to longer, more severe cases of the illness, a new study has shown.
According to the study, scientists tracked the recovery of 68 patients, to study the gender disparity of the virus, which have caused severe illness in men, according to a preliminary report posted on the MedRix website.
Dr Aditi Shastri, an oncologist at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, and Dr Jayanthi Shastri, a microbiologist at the Kasturba Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Mumbai, claims Covid-19 can attach itself to a specific protein that is produced in high levels in the testicles.
In addition to the large amounts in the testicles, the protein, angiotensin, is also found in the lungs.
According to the study, the testicles are blocked off from the body’s immune system, which allows the virus to remain in the testicles longer than the rest of the body. Both Dr Jyanthi and Dr Aditi have said the recent findings may explain why women recover more quickly than men.
“These observations demonstrate that male subjects have delayed viral clearance,” the preliminary report said, adding that the testicles may be serving as “reservoirs” for the virus.
The study offers some insight into reports from New York, South Korea, and Italy that men are dying at a higher rate due to the virus. While the virus remains in the testicles, do they nibble and destroy the cells in the while, hence achieving sterilization objective? What's with people? so is the vaccine the vehicle for sterilization or the virus itself? So are you now the virus has an agenda to sterilize deplorable like Boris Johnson and Prince Charles? Those are part of the players in the game, including all those celebs claiming to be victims. Do not be fooled. Mine was a question of the effect of the virus living longer in the testicles, does it mean young men won't be able to sire again after?

Quote:Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho says at least 23 out of 300 Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) workers in the coastal city have contracted coronavirus.
“The coronavirus test results we have gotten from mass examination at KPA are very worrying,” he said while launching a 300-bed capacity COVID-19 facility and four ICU ambulances at Technical University of Mombasa (TUM) on Thursday, April 23.
“Twenty three (23) people testing positive for coronavirus out of the 300 KPA employees tested, is not a joke; that is almost 10 per cent of the staff population,” said the county chief.
Joho urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to totally lock down Mombasa to avert possibility of a coronavirus explosion in the coastal city “within the next few weeks”.
Now add the family members of the 23 and their close contacts... "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

This study is one among many that will inform treatment. It does not prove that chloroquine does not work. It has a number of issues that will need to be sorted in more trials (not peer reviewed, no control group, retrospective in nature, given to very sick patients etc. etc.) before we discount chloroquine completely. Chloroquine will remain under compassionate use until a better treatment is found. In fact, many groups around the world are testing it as a way to prevent infection and re-infection for health care workers and those with milder forms of the disease. In the meantime, WHO mistakenly leaked the failure of another hopeful drug remdesivir tanking stock markets..As I said hapo awali, medicine/science is very provisional-too many moving parts at the moment to make any conclusions about treatments for this disease.

Now to think of the numbers along the highway especially if the truck was from Mombasa. Then again, govt is saying 67% of people who tested positive were asymptomatic.

Whereas its noble for people to have kitchen gardens on balconies etc those balconies are also our cloth lines hangout dens and others are too dusty for life. Surely, wouldn't it be prudent for the govt to ensure that food sold to the mass market is mapped from the source. We have been eating sewage food for a long time but nothing is done, the govt has been watching as the markets get filthy but there has been no initiative to ensure the markets are clean. Kitchen gardens = Money wasted "There are only two emotions in the market, hope & fear. The problem is you hope when you should fear & fear when you should hope: - Jesse Livermore .

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) reported just six new cases, the lowest number since the Feb. 28 peak of 909 in South Korea, which suffered the first major coronavirus epidemic outside China.
With no new deaths, the toll remained at 240 and authorities hope daily new cases will drop to zero in the coming days after dipping below 10 on Sunday following several days above that level. Total recorded infections are at 10,708 in the country of almost 52 million people.

I think we all now agree on what some of us have been telling you. The desease is here with us. Mass testing and mass quarantines are just a waste of time and money. Its also a way of causing panic and we have seen that most of this infections are happening there.(quarantine facilities) Even the republicans have realized that once the desease reaches a certain number of infections in the General population contact tracing becomes useless. The government should concentrate more on General hygiene and wearing of masks All this lockdowns should be lifted and we continue with our daily biz. Mpobiz, you have a long way to get to Hardwood "I think we all agree...." is not a statement that emotes positivism. It shows that you are not sure of what you are saying. I may not be sure about Covid-19, but I'm very sure that you can make better use of your bandwidth. But heck, it's your bandwidth. Use it as you please. There is a way out of you out of the doldrums of people not trusting anything you say. You need to prove you mean what you say. With action. I'll give you a few suggestions: 1. Go into a Covid hospital and prove it's a mild disease. 2. Invite people to your house where your children are living and your parents. Those two can help us understand that we should not panic. We should not quarantine. And you can at least be one of the people who prove or disapprove "herd mentality" It's that simple. Otherwise, your posts here reek of being paid less than 527 bob and that's not good for the Kenyan economy. It shows that wages for "mbroggers" are dropping. Thieves are not good people. Tumeelewana?
