Dear friend . Do not preoccupie yourself in counting the so called "official" cases. The disease is here with us. Next time you walk out of your house one in ten has or is asymptomatic but can still infect you.

Kagwe has announced a case near where I live, so yes I'm aware.

On official cases, I'm scared to think what actual numbers look like in Tz. There's no info in numbers tested & could be they're testing severe cases only.

TZ casual approach will cost the region dearly.
Their numbers will surpass Kenya figures this week yet Kenya has tested a much higher number.

Somalia figures are more concerning. The hit rate on testing is upto 76%.

I think Tanzania has the capacity to get their act together. Somalia? not so much!

Corona has given Trump a golden chance to deal with immigrants.

I insist - the crazies are coming out. if you cherrypick through the work Bill and Melinda Gates foundation a foundation that has been around since 2000 - you can paint any kind of picture. The "use of vaccines" in the reduction of population quote for example (given in the Ted talk on reducing carbon emissions to 0) is actually something he had explained before and it's quite counterintuitive - very few people want many children but because of poverty and poor healthcare people generally, have lots of children in environments that diseases are rife - why? they expect some to die and by having more children, people have more chances of some of their children growing up to adulthood. if you can fix the diseases that kill kids people within 1 generation realise - there is no reason to have too many kids actually, most of our generation who were vaccinated and had no death in the family do this. you have 2 children! you cannot tell people to have 2 children in an environment full of diseases and they comply. Improve health, improve living standards and soon - no one wants to have 7 children. China is a good example - they had a 1 child policy and when they relaxed it because of good economic standards people opted not to.

Mombasa is a hotspot. Are those people being treated there?

Pray for Mombasa. I have been in this county for a number of years and I learnt that infectious diseases spread faster than in Nairobi.
