That's why I left it open. What do you fancy? Tusker?, delmonte? mineral water? Or you want to go the @sukuma way - two tots of JD? Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

By the way what happened to @sukuma? Or she got rehabilitated and decided to acquire a new user name? I digress.

At ksh 80.00 the ride on cfc is over. For now untill they release their results.... Share prices dnt rise 4 no apparent reason. As for Access Kenya i see the share trading sideways .but picking up as we head to their half year results for 2011 around August. As for Sasini and anybody holding agricultural stocks u must be either ignorant or just luv lossing money. With WTK givin a 'profit warning of sorts ' i dnt see the need of holding stocks that'll c no growth......get out of agriculturals now....

One off trade... Seller at 80/- but I am seriously considering selling mine except for the divestiture or split into 2 companies...

I don't think so! Closed at 85/= today - 2nd highest gainer! Or the ride is "over" at 85/=? Talk on Friday 16th? I'm seeing the share at 90+ then. think I'm being too ambitious?

This share is going to be a cash-cow. Research has shown that a spin-off outperforms the market in the (2-3 year) period immediately after the spin off.

The spin-off often does better than the parent company, see below:

http://www.investopedia....arents-and-spinoffs.asp

IMO to maximise returns, the options are:

1. Sell the company just before the de-merger then buy into the insurance business after de-merger.

2. Await the de-merger, sell the parent (bank), keep the insurance.

So its not only the agriculturals that can give you 100 percent returns in less than 6 months on the NSE.

.....how does a PBT of +700m become a PAT of only +35m and eventually a -0.22 eps???

Now I'm dying to see the full results!

The last time this sort of thing happened was in the early 1990s to SCBK: the announced a half-year PBT of 900m and then a fully year PBT of 600m. The CEO was shown the door immediately. Perhaps the same fate should visit CFC's Group CEO. Who is it by the way?

DuToit heads the bank, but is he also the Group CEO?

History repeats... Chairman, CEO and one other director stepped down at the AGM...
