Key players in govt not interested in building public entities to prosper. They are looking after their own interests and taking over profitable public enterprises.

This govt is killing KQ. It won’t be able to compete even if public money is pumped into it. KQ should be protected from competition but the players in govt are just after their own deals with Cargo, Chinese/ Qatari business partners, duty free space, hotel space in JKIA , supply contracts, etc.

They don’t care about the minority shareholders and the common people.

GOK created KQ in 1977 after collapse of the East African Airways. The East Africans Airlines collapsed with the collase of the East African Community. It is rumoured that Kenyan pilots "stole" EAA planes by secretly flying them from Tanzania to Enbakassi on fears that the Tanzania Govt would appropriate them.

KQ was formed after the collapse of an airline and the collapse of a government. Fast forward 2020... the Government if broke, KQ is on a ventilator.

KQ was formed out of collapse of a Government and an Airline. It is not too farfetched to surmise that it can die the same way.
