Profit warning pap

No respite at the NSE for another year. Can we say Jubilee government is responsible for the endless profit warnings by listed firms? What was the market like during the dark Nyayo error? Is it a co-incidence that during the reign of Uhuru Kenyatta companies have issued profit warnings back-to-back for 3 consecutive years?

Well. The Gov. would take credit if things were looking good. Hard to compare with Moi era coz reporting standards were non-existent and he and his cronies had shareholding in almost all key stocks. However, such consistent poor performance is very telling. That and the recent takeover of KNBS' independence by the Cabinet is very concerning: https://www.google.com/a...asAMP-d3o2ykz/index.html

1000 is 20% of 5000. Can they sustain that?

They are technically giving you nothing if the amount is not withdrawable.
Also the right question is what is their acquisition cost? Enticing u with 1000 could be cheaper

As @metch says, if there is a lock-in period then it's a cost of acquisition.
Cheaper than flashy ads.

I am down 34% on this stock with ABP of 3.77. Anyone know how the recruitment of CEO is going/went?

Seriously? after i went all in at 3 bob to lower my ABP

U should have seen this coming after H1 results. I dumped mine immediately after H1 results at 3.35 taking a loss of 20k. Bought Coop at 11.80. took my 150k profits at 16.00. life continues,,,
Dump now,,, the race to 2bob is on

But for next year, won't there be some significant savings on the interest they were paying on the bond?

Company has zero debt.
Full disclosures to be known when they release full year results in 3.5 months time

Where did they get the money to fully settle the bond liability?

Did they ever sell any of the parcels of land they advertised?

Bond settlement was done through internal sources but full details will be known in release of FY19 results in March 2020
Parcels of land none has been sold.

I suspect a COOP bail out for this settlement; probably connected to CEO’s departure

The Group took borrowings to top up internal resources in settling the bond at maturity.

To inform shareholders they have found a buyer for the piece of land.
The returns they will get will be a windfall.
