...abit sorry for his father, who for so long had to shoulder the responsibility of being a mother and a father. 'I wish my mother was alive', 'thought Kanene. Being the eldest son he knew it was incumbent upon him to help his father in taking care of the other three siblings. He had always admired the way his father was was so good to them and wished one day when he will be a responsible father like him....

..worse still, his father was sagging his pants and had a cheap "bling silver" chain that was wearing out to reveal some coppery color, bongo flava music blasting from his radio covered with the crotchet cloth his dear late mum had made for him. He couldn't take it, Mwatela Charo must be after the money, he thought, has he sold the shares? he thought..then...

One day,Mwatela decided to share her frustrations with Kanene with the hope that he will come to her aid somehow. She complained to him about how Mzee Kiratu was not properly using his large Vuvuzela during their Worldcup! matches....

But Mzee Kiratu was not giving up. He kept saying...
