People are locked up in apartments ma'am. No walking around....a drown is following those outside asking them to go back to their houses. So again how are these Kenyans supposed to collect their share of Ksh1.3M?

That is valid, how will the embassy get to the students? Do they have M-pesachina? Remember lockdown means no movement.

By the way, China's version of mpesa is way advanced than ours. They use the QR Code for payments for everything. It's almost impossible to find someone with cash, even businesses there turn you away if you want to transact in cash.

Decisions in Kenya are not well thought out. I understand the notion of keeping these Kenyans away but they need to eat and get out of the petri dish if we want them to survive. If GOK had charterd a plane to bring those kids to Lamu-some deserted island - let them stay there for 2wks under observation. It could end up being cheaper and more of a success story.

But....well. No elite Kenyan child is studying in Wuhan

Quarantining them in China, a country equiped to control the virus; or bringing them to Kenya, a country ill equiped to handle the virus. The first option is the lesser evil.

Now are we going to stop receiving people from S.Korea, Iran and Italy? Cases have spiked there as well. What about the Kitui case? Covid 19 could be here already.

Israel has turned back as many as 130 South Korean passengers of a flight from South Korea in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
It allowed only 12 Israeli passengers to disembark on the Korean Airlines flight's arrival in Tel Aviv on Saturday.
