A reduction in headcount has pushed down pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) tax, putting the Treasury finances in a precarious position in the first half of fiscal year 2019/20.

As a result of the low collection, cumulative ordinary (mainly tax) revenue underperformed the target by Sh138.7 billion in the half-year period to December. The other poor performers were excise tax and value-added tax (VAT), which are directly connected to business activity.

The three boys don't care.

I gave up on Kenyan leadership kitambo, nowadays i am looking out for self.

Lakini UMK (& Ruto) has really wiped out the gains we had made with Kibaki kabisa. So sad.

This is a 3rd world country and our biggest problem is lack of clean, affordable water for drinking/farming but people have other bs priorities like huduma number, bbi and lots of white elephants.

Kenya should consider partnerships with the private sector to help fund government spending because it doesn’t have much room to increase debt, says the nation’s central bank governor

Public Private Partnership framework is in place but no goodwill to run PPP projects. People in Serikal just want projects where they can eat.
