According to main Saturday Nation story, he wasn't going to visit anyone
Quote:
Detectives believe Owino and Kimenye were smuggling Mr Sonko to Tanzania through the small village of Mwaluvamba in Kwale.

He was to stay in Tanzania, they believe, for two weeks as his lawyers filed papers in court to stop his arrest

3. Assaulting an officer making a lawful arrest
4. Intimidating investigation officers/witnesses
5. History of escaping from prison.

The DPP has a walk-over case when asking for sonko to be denied bail.
