KCB does well in Tanzania and stumbles in Uganda. Equity does well in Uganda and stumbles in Tanzania. They should share notes for those markets

We maxed out KCB’s historic chart, and we found out some interesting stuff. KCB hit a historic low of KES 7.39 in 2002 and it hit an all-time high of KES 233.77 in 2006 before it fell sharply in 2007 due to a 10-1 split that year .Undoubtedly, KCB has been volatile with various swings in its lifetime, this has presented profit making opportunities and loss making endeavors.

Great analysis @Ebonyo. Slight correction, KCB's 2006 high was surprisingly the last trading day, Dec 29th where it hit a high of KES.245, trailing PE 0f 40.Similar PE now would price KCB at KES.300d'oh! NSE20 closed the year at 5645 having gained 80 points on that day. It would go on to hit a pre split high of 264 in early 2007 before split book closure on 02.04.2007.

On the other hand this is the time to buy and hold for the better days assuming the Dynamic Duo or it is the Terrible Three don't mess it up!

Most banks are trading at less an 2x PB and 10x PER.
Dividend Yields of 7% (on some shares) are available.
Earnings Yields of 7%+ on many counters.

Different strokes for different folks as we saw in KK.
I am more of a Memba and I&M jamaa. KCB is simply a bellwether for me.
