Nowadays they delay updating till afternoon/evening so that people buy the newspaper.

This one concentrates on 'big' clients and zero chill for small fish. For advertisement you still have to walk to 'their' premises or brokers. I asked for advertisement rates directly on the general email provided on their website (Sales Inquiries sales_inquiries@ke.nationmedia.com)last Friday at about 4pm. I got the response on Sunday at about 1 pm ...... the email is stupid because you call follow the forward conversation 'please help this client' to 5 people. It is the 6th person who sent me the rates. Wish those inside well smile

EPS already on schedule to be lower than the previous year's DPS. DPS this financial year may be paid from retained earnings again if the 2nd half doesn't step up.

How long before the share prices of Nation Media and Standard Group are close to parity? They're almost there [KES 34 v KES 26].

40% down so far this year

Even Warren Buffett amechoka na magazeti https://www.cnbc.com/202...ss-for-140-million.html

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway is leaving the newspaper business and selling its operations to publisher Lee Enterprises for $140 million in cash.
The deal includes Berkshire Hathaway Media Group and The Buffalo News, a paper covering western New York and owned as a separate entity by Berkshire.

#TheBrokenSystem

Superb reporting piece by Nation.

Kenya is in problems.

Quote:

Do we, as Kenyans, have any values? Or we just don't care anymore?

On Team Coverage Wednesday, we explore the apparent state of lawlessness, the den of impunity and man eat man society we find ourselves in. It's time to reflect. #TheBrokenSystem

This counter touched 22 bob trading at same level with SGL. All time low and it might go below 20bob.

Nation Media group’s 2019 profit before tax and Covid-19 dropped 20% compared to 2018. Turnover dropped by 6.3%.

It has recommended bonus share issue of one new fully paid share for every ten held.
