Today seen some long convoy of Kipeto Energy [100MW] Wind Turbines on Mombasa road enroute to Nairobi -> Kajiado so looks like another 100MW will come online soon. Meanwhile Kinangop Wind Turbines still parked off Eastern bypass after failed project. Storage costs all these years must have gotten someone burnt beyond recognition financially.

Kipeto should be on on grid come next year July or there about. For the Kinangop wind, the financier, Stanbic Bank SA , took over the turbines with view of auctioning them when the project collapsed. They haven't found market, since a government agreement with them was that they can only sell to a party that will put up a project of similar capacity nearby.
