How did @Nelly know the cement is fresh? On the matter of disposal it was a brilliant because nobody would imagine that the body could be within the compound. That's why it took police 60days. Almost perfect murder only that Sarah talked too much and they involved too many people. Truth forever on the scaffold

Wow looks like the chickens are coming home to roost. If her lover is the one that led detectives to the water tank, he will sing like a bird and she will have nowhere to hide. The pressure of having so many detectives hounding you was too much for that Karanja guy to bear.

....the fact that she was the wife for years, under the law she was entitled to his estate...She didn’t have to kill(if she did)....The courts could make sure she got her entitlement...She needed a good divorce lawyer not a hit man... Ce n’est pas si grave...

I think I can say this and get away with it because I am a Kyuk and I have many kyuk female relatives.
There is only one easy option to divorce a kikuyu woman. You get broke. A few smart guys know how to fake this. You don't even need to worry about child support, she will drop you like hot coal and you will not hear from her again.
If you are middle class, expect an epic battle in the children's court.
If you are wealthy ( Networth > 20M ), my brother, you ain't leaving a Kikuyu woman. Unless by "leave" you mean to the after-life.

So why should she do that if her interest was the property while the divorce was guaranteed to give her part of the property? Wrote letters to the police and lawyers to withdraw assault charges and divorce proceedings. She probably thought that since there was enough evidence of assault, the courts would be in favour of the man and she was bound to lose. So now she thought telling the police that the man is out of the country would have them busy looking elsewhere as his body decomposes in the septic tank. It's only in cases of " a lone gunman" that it takes a while to uncover. Where two or more are involved, there will always be a clue.
