I have been increasing my holding on OCH. I buy everytime it gets below 8, do wazuans think it will go past 11 when I plan on selling?

Very risky stock. Pump in the cash at your own risk. Yet again you might be rewarded in a big way.

I got into it too... I hope the construction in S.Africa boosts its profits for 2010-11.

I am not sure how much of the loss is still carried forward from the debacle of the S.African acquisitions...

@VVS

Am beginning to worry some companies issue rights when their expansion strategy goes awry leaving them cashless. Sometimes it may pay to be "ungreedy" when others are fearful.

We will find out Monday... I took a risk. I wonder if it will pay off...

All this construction wherever you look in Nairobi, Thika, Mombasa... surely they can sell tiles???

Also they have some good real estate... I hope the values or rents have increased substantially...

@ vvs interesting stock pick to speculate on. Didnt think you would invest in them after your blog posts in 2008 and 2009...... no hating its all about "being greedy when others are fearful."

I don't trust Matu just like you don't trust Merali. I hope he proves me wrong.

Actualized my loss in September 09 and have never looked back. This bus has many issues, over the last 3 years esp after their rights issue it keeps breaking down...aka PLush and misconceived investment expansion in their Industrial area plant. May be their divesture into a p.e will reflect some positives on their books. I

@minto64 - Not one of my finest moments... I just hope I can get out break-even or better... I was being greedy when others were fearful... LOL... Even WB doesn't win every time...

Yes, I hope they have good gains in the Real Estate portfolio... Only redeeming feature!

June 30th has passed. IS CMA going to tandika Matu's fat backside for not submitting Olympia annual report as per the 4 month legal stipulation?

@qw..
...actually it's 29.03% between Dec 31st to March 30th... Since April 1st to date it has declined overall by about 5%... any money here was taken in ages ago.

if interested in big boys..i guess trend the volumes traded on particular counters..am sure least of qualification for stocks they buy is based on dividend yield above market average...Think

For price tagging..please use stock perfomancetracker on wazua tools on main Investor page... that's where youcan'tstopusnow got his list NSE 2010 1ST HALF PERFORMANCE... http://www.wazua.co.ke/i...tor/performancecalc.aspx

Finally Olympia releases results. I didnt get to review them fully but the commentary claims about 36mn 'extra' one-off expenses due to selling off shares on NSE + some write-offs in S.Africa
