KQ needs to work on its fares. I do hope KQLC get paid off. Comments are lit!

Yes we are opting to use Ethiopian airlines or air Rwanda because KQ is soo much expensive

The only thing I enjoy with KQ is unlimited flow of 🍺πŸ₯ƒπŸ» the rest of KQ service is πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž

Ensure that the new KQ will be headed by foreign CEO not kenyan bcoz we know ourselves en our love 4 corruption

Great initiative to ensure continuity of KQ. The culture needs to change to align with international standards in areas such as service delivery, customer service, route network, competitive prices, quality of services etc.

This guy is confused. I'll still fly Ethopian. KQ you have behaved so arrogant in the past your service is terrible.' You just can't come on tv a tell is the obvious. KQ sucks

Indeed the guy is confused.. To say that minority shareholders will be sold for a song and then KQLC shall be issued with bonds, simply sounds like borderline insanity.. Investor confidence will be irreparably broken at the NSE

Questions:
1) What is KQ's NAV/share?
2) Why would investor confidence be irreparably broken?
3) Why should GoK compensate minority shareholders?
4) KQLC got guarantees. Did minorities get the same?

Watu watapewa bus fair ya kuja Nairobi ku sign transfer documents!

How can people consistently buy a loss-making and insolvent company for seven years and hope to get anything out of it?

GoK,KLM, KQLC and ME both hold the same class of shares...so GoK will make an offer...I don't think the banks will accept a haircut...question is how does broke GoK pay us? They can have two options...

1. Bonds to KQLC,KLM and
2. Cash to Minority shareholders
3. Option of 1 and 2 to any shareholder

Possible if GoK and KLM and KQLC strike a deal separately...in that case minority shareholders will be left high and dry...

Why did KQLC come in just under 2 years ago to dilute minority shareholders and then GoK steps in to buy them out and conveniently forget that the shares held by KQLC are at our cost. Extremely dodgy reasoning

KQLC were coerced into buying shares. It may have seemed voluntary but the reality is that banks want their loans repaid and not shares in dying firms. So only KQLC should be bought out.

1) KQLC didn't voluntarily exchange loans for shares. Banks like to be repaid in cash not shares - especially so in loss-making firms with negative equity.
2) KQ was insolvent when the DE conversion happened. KQLC were conned.
3) KQ's was bankrupt before the DE Conversion.

Bond, What bond? Is he suggesting;

1. That the KQLC banks be given GOK Treasury bonds for their shares in KQ; or
2. KQ to issue corporate bonds to KQLC banks in lieu of the the shares.

His speech is nothing - neither here nor there. What matters is what his committee wrote in the report. The bond is NOT one of the recommendations!

It is just a passing observation.

Pkosing is very confused. He doesn't understand what national carrier status means. Whoever told him that KQ must be 100% government owned to enjoy incentives and tax subsidies did him a huge disservice.
