KQ 4.90; Kenya Re 3.90

KQ never made a profit for 7 yrs, negative equity, no dividends.

Kenya Re profitable, positive shareholder funds, regular dividend payments.

KQ trades a full one bob above Kenya Re. If this is not witchcraft, I dont know what it is.

To protest this situation, I will refrain from posting on investment section until Kenya Re trades above KQ.

I hope it will happen soon.

Don't hold your breath Laughing out loudly but I do agree KQ shouldn't technically even be a going concern.

We don't influence, we forecast.

My forecast is that KQ will test Sh 2.5 before year end.

My bad. I meant I hope KenRe keeps dropping down to 3/- or less after the bonus is credited. 3:1 bonus so there will be a huge overhang of shares.

In note 2(e) of the audited financial report of KQ - 31/12/2018 - the auditors warn as follows:

"This indicates the existence of a material uncertainty which may cast significant doubt on the Group and Company's ability to continue as a going concern and therefore, may be unable to realize its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business."

The problem is that people don't read these things!

Pump and Dump tactics aren't usually effective on old-timers in Wazua.
If you are 100% sure KQ will hit 5/- then why are you shouting about it? Quietly buy out anyone selling it at less than 5/- and laugh at us afterwards.

ARM is a good example. Some chief almost made me buy it, but my spirit was awake

Has KQ really traded meaningful volume in a long time? Every time I check I find it trading peanuts

Next to ‘zero’ volume since November 2017, when it came back from the restructuring suspension. A court case will have to arise if Pkosing buyout suggestions are to be taken literally

Best option for the taxpayer is to let "Old KQ" die a natural death.
Let a "New KQ" take over the good assets (& associated liabilities) and staff it needs/wants.
Let the creditors get what they can from "Old KQ" like we see at ARM.
Pay off KQLC to the extent of the guarantees. No more.
Let the Taxpayer breath.
