Ever since I discovered this wonderful site mid 2006,it will be an understatement if I say I have learnt a lot. The knowledge and material gain that I associate with this site are beyond measure. I have learnt to be more tolerant of peoples views and opinions esp political ones. I have seen mlefu,njung'e and sober wakiwa 'monos' hapa. I have seen great skerians come and go...all old timers cannot 4get georgesoros,sanny and many more. Of course it would not be fair to forget jowa...ha ha -ths guy cracked me up. I cant mention all the names though,bt jammo has ruled the investments section,kudos dude. Now,b4 I forget the aim of ths topic,how can SK be improved? My proposals

1. Make retrieval of old topics simple(some disappeared in total) Btw is there a storage problem? The simplest way is to avail a tool that sorts out the topics by date etc...

2. Increase the no of topics on 'display'. There must b a way.

3. Warn members by mail if conduct is unbecoming.

4. Make oldest replies appear first by default. This is beneficial to newbies...The one thing that annoys me most is reading from the bottom up,its tedious and time wasting.

5. Finish the list

- Inadvertent online Focus Group's - OK SK is abt sharing ideas,but,just like on facebook,you find certain groups designed to act as focus groups to help some companies with their product development and marketing strategies
- Generating email addresses for Spamming/Pharming/Viral Marketing. Someone is offering a book,a gadget,etc. or is seemingly enquiring about a university. Frankly I'm worried about some of the posts I have seen - then people publish their phone numbers/email addresses (remember the trickster's work is halfway done once greed/lust b**** slaps reasoning into the corner).
- Someone knows that SK members,given how some flaunt their investments and wealth (and lifestlyes),these members make for excellent targets for conning,hijacking,swindling,etc. With all due respect to SK members of course. Still,someone can worm his/her way into your confidence,then.....This is a very real risk. People should exercise caution. I'd like to try and estimate the nett worth of the most common posters but that would be counter productive.
- Moles and pseudo-people - I have also pointed out that sometimes we have people with many aliases,pretending to have a valid discussion on issues but really using reverse psychology to come across as having a genuine discussion,thus allaying fears allied to 'if it seems too good..' . I have seen this of facebook also.

Improve the 'Search' tool. I have noticed older posts are better,some are absolutely priceless,but some are also missing,i have searched for them in vain.

SK periodically identify,preferrably monthly,and bring in relevant distinguished guest speakers or commentators on investments or relevant economics & post the content on this site. The article authors or speakers are at liberty to periodically answer forum questions following their 'presentations'. My 2 cents
