Ever since I discovered this wonderful site mid 2006,it will be an understatement if I say I have learnt a lot. The knowledge and material gain that I associate with this site are beyond measure. I have learnt to be more tolerant of peoples views and opinions esp political ones. I have seen mlefu,njung'e and sober wakiwa 'monos' hapa. I have seen great skerians come and go...all old timers cannot 4get georgesoros,sanny and many more. Of course it would not be fair to forget jowa...ha ha -ths guy cracked me up. I cant mention all the names though,bt jammo has ruled the investments section,kudos dude. Now,b4 I forget the aim of ths topic,how can SK be improved? My proposals 1. Make retrieval of old topics simple(some disappeared in total) Btw is there a storage problem? The simplest way is to avail a tool that sorts out the topics by date etc... 2. Increase the no of topics on 'display'. There must b a way. 3. Warn members by mail if conduct is unbecoming. 4. Make oldest replies appear first by default. This is beneficial to newbies...The one thing that annoys me most is reading from the bottom up,its tedious and time wasting. 5. Finish the list Karibu lakini bado!!!!!!!!! TULIA.........UFUNZWE!

- Inadvertent online Focus Group's - OK SK is abt sharing ideas,but,just like on facebook,you find certain groups designed to act as focus groups to help some companies with their product development and marketing strategies
- Generating email addresses for Spamming/Pharming/Viral Marketing. Someone is offering a book,a gadget,etc. or is seemingly enquiring about a university. Frankly I'm worried about some of the posts I have seen - then people publish their phone numbers/email addresses (remember the trickster's work is halfway done once greed/lust b**** slaps reasoning into the corner).
- Someone knows that SK members,given how some flaunt their investments and wealth (and lifestlyes),these members make for excellent targets for conning,hijacking,swindling,etc. With all due respect to SK members of course. Still,someone can worm his/her way into your confidence,then.....This is a very real risk. People should exercise caution. I'd like to try and estimate the nett worth of the most common posters but that would be counter productive.
- Moles and pseudo-people - I have also pointed out that sometimes we have people with many aliases,pretending to have a valid discussion on issues but really using reverse psychology to come across as having a genuine discussion,thus allaying fears allied to 'if it seems too good..' . I have seen this of facebook also.

Add also some way to post documents that may be of interest to all. This stops the emerging habit of people using this site to gather email addresses for whatever evil stuff they are scheming.
To avoid posting trash,maybe we could send docs to a pre-determined site/email,for SK to screen before posting. I feel the site is generating enough interest for it to warrant additional investment in GB's (or TB's,these days)

Improve the 'Search' tool. I have noticed older posts are better,some are absolutely priceless,but some are also missing,i have searched for them in vain.

The knowledge one gathers from this site is uncomparable...to any other! Kudos SK admin and SKreans in general. I think if there was an option of sending a Private message to someone instead of guys posting their adresses here,that would be better. it would eliminate the chances of evil people gathering addresses and also your contacts being viewed by all and sundry! So Sk admin,kindly add the 'send private message' option to our profiles...and by this,we'll get back to all who send us the messages if we wish to connect with them or share our details. Secondly,some responses to posts are usually in very bad taste,especially the tribal ones and the very explicit/sexually suggestive ones. I would suggest that SK automatically delete such responses and warn the poster accordingly,or better still block him/her from the site. Such guys even turn an originally sane thread into absolute insanity! it's disgusting! @Mlefu How does you dating me improve Sk?? you should be deleted! Advice is what we ask for when we already know the answer but wish we didn't.. Nevermind what haters say, ignore them til they fade away - Just live your life

SK periodically identify,preferrably monthly,and bring in relevant distinguished guest speakers or commentators on investments or relevant economics & post the content on this site. The article authors or speakers are at liberty to periodically answer forum questions following their 'presentations'. My 2 cents

The knowledge one gets from this site is Awsome,very rich indeed.Just joined the other day and already ma thinking is getting a boost
A chat section should be incorporated,and of course,older posts appearing first.Check also on the price info given-it reflects prices of the previous day,which does no good.
Otherwise,this site rocks!! Good work SK.

sk is great site but we need more information from here i have noticed we dont have list of registers of listed companies and dates of AGMs and where they will be held. It would also feel if you have reowned personalities posting investment related articles here they would be of importance.

so what has been done or will be done? sometimes i have a hunch this site is managed by kibaki and his hibernation mode. completely ignore all the noise until everyone forgets,then move on. the search section of the site is just crap..of course with apologies to crap. it would be nice to see all the topics one has posted in the 'my profile' section. borrow a leaf from kenyanlist.com and if money is too tight to mention,we can have a harambee. am kicking off with 1k. thanks simon kabz for this crucial thread.

SK admin should consider introducing a mobile-phone- friendly version of SK eg with less graphics and colour. This should increase traffic over the weekend. As you might have noticed most Skerians log off on Friday and only return on Monday morning when they get back to work.

Me thinks that the following may be useful
1. have our aliases form a basis for which messaging can take place form One SK member to another. People don't have to post their email addresses for instance to get mailed. I am not calling for an inbox tool in SK,it would be good though,but an alias to actual email forwarding would do.
2. When searching,the text box auto clears
3. Ability to upload documents & have them tagged with/to discussions.
4. Lightweight SK version for mobile.
5. Have a calender tool on upcoming events that would interest SK'rians.
6. Have Guka's n Cucu's made moderators so that certain explicit post can be removed (not deleted),with the Admin having ultimate control of what gets deleted
7. Last but not least,throw us a big xmas Bash

@ ispoa the last suggestion seems more appealing.... @ sk i don't intend to pressure you but if you bring the present in December it will not be an early xmas present...! my 2 cents..
