One very probable thing is that Europe will have many confrontations with the US mainly because the US appears to be backtracking on climate change when Europe is considering the issue as important to the extent that the so called 'populists' are also warming up to the idea.

What other thoughts come to mind?

Anti immigration parties are becoming increasingly popular in Europe. That place will soon become very hostile to African and Asian immigrants.

Given the changes required to manage climate change it may be possible or even urgent for us to develop economic systems that help reduce the uncertainties stoking the fire of anti immigration.

Europeans, Americans, Australians etc are fed up with seeing Africans and Asians migrate to their countries. Thats why Brexit happened. Thats why trump was elected and might win again in 2020. Thats why far right parties are gaining voters in the EU and Australia.

Some 12 asylum seekers who were trying to go to Australia, committed suicide after the recent Australian election because the winning candidate is an immigration hardliner. So their hopes of getting asylum in Australia were dashed.

Sisi Waafrika we need to fix our countries and change our culture so people are not desperate. In West Africa the youth are so desperate that they traverse the Mediterranean on a rickety boat. In Kenya desperate youth resort to robbing, stealing and carjacking.

Its so funny because a few months ago I saw a video of Kalenjin elders complaining ati it is better to die than to live in Kenya. Yet these are the same people who will vote for Gideon Moi or Ruto in 2022.

Kenyans are masochists Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
Mtu wetu syndrome is too embedded in our psyche.
