Budgeted for!!!!! Even the previous year/period they budgeted for Kes 300m which they never got smile

Correct even the 300M was not realized. Even the 500M will not be realized this year. Infact it will be the Treasury which will be asked to give KPLC some MONEY

Last year preference shareholders were paid a dividend.

There is nothing worth writing home about these preference shares. The preference shares were paid a meagre total dividend of Kes. 1.93M (Previous year they were also paid a total dividend of Kes. 1.93M). The value of these preference shares is also very low (Kes. 43M only)

.@KenGenKenya expanded the existing wind farm in Ngong from 5.1 MW to 25.5 MW capacities.
Existing wind speeds in Ngong Hills region are highly favorable and the location is fairly close to Nairobi, the largest load centre in Kenya.

Exactly what we are advancing, so Kes 300m was budgeted but basically a meager Kes 1.9m was paid to all the preference share holding (including GoK - Jubilee). So they can budget for Kes 500m, but still pay nothing. People here, don't expect any dividends at end of the financial year!!!

“We’re going to add from Olkaria 1 unit 6 and Olkaria 5 +250MW, and if we use the same ratio that came out of Olkaria 280MW, we can see ksh.6 to 7bn building-in. With trend analysis, and as everything remain,KenGen shares has potential.” John Mudany
