You haven't stated the circumstances - but it was a stricken vessel with only 2 life-saving choices 2 be made, I would let the lives of my mum and wifey be saved.

Assume they cant take your place or you theirs so you have to make the decision.

Instinct will kick in, you cant save your mother if only the three of you are stuck in some unknown island and you have to save wife or mum, however if your house in Nairobi is burning and you can only save one, then you have a dilema Ras Kienyeji Man

@wendz...wacha kufanya life ikuwe hard! its a cruel decision either way.
BTW, I fear for men if the question was posed to their women - i.e how many women would rescue their husbands instead of their own mums?
HINT: If you peruse the personnel records at a good number of work places, the next of kin/ beneficiaries records HR has been given by some married women do not even begin to mention the hubbie...

Assume its not a river or drowning situation (Yaani Maana, ya ije) and its any life threatening situation including torture where you have to save either, who would it be.

When you ask sons about their mothers it is realy a forgone conclusion where their preference will be inclined to - the little psychology I know blames it on OEDIPUS COMPLEX

I concur with @intel I hppen to have acces to HR databases to different companies databases and the next of kin part is kinda interesting
