Fundamentally, nothing has changed. The share is still worth circa Ksh24 and will get there as we appraoch dividend payout

To me directors scampering from Ak like a hse on fire changes fundamentals.
The company is now run by family and cronies.

BBI will solve it

Kuna kitu and it does not look good but the price has remained steady at 20/- until Safaricom really hits them in the stomach...

@vvs the story broke early this year...check businessdaily archives...but pple anticipating good half year results...no wonder the price is steady...

Being investigated by the CMA is a joke... Look at all the brokers who collapsed while the CMA was eating their share of the commissions!!!

So long as they keep on growing their sales and so long as they are profitable, buy when the price falls

Been waiting to respond on some of the "analysis" propounded. First of all, the coming of fibre has increased the market size. Even if Safcom iko, AK will still be able to eat a bigger cake. 2ndly, AK will always trade on a premium anticipating takeover.

The CMA "investigation" was to do with the metro cable thingy.

Not always. Making a profit once is not the issue it's sustaining it. You'll need to look at the future prospects and innovations first do your own swot analysis of the co with a lot of focus on opportunities and threats.

BBI will solve it

Even without SCOM I think KDN, Zuku and swift are reaping AK market share apart.

AK Books close: 1-Sep-10. That is (more than) enough time for the share to continue its upward price movement.

Just sold my lot..18% in ma pockets...no need to be greedy...I have constantly eaten from this stock using the same old techniques.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

@sheep. as far as investment strategies are concerned you have faild. In any investment endevour always MAXIMISE your profit . this share is headed for ksh 25.00 (according to my charts) so that 18% is peanuts. just sayin.

The stock got a nice support at 17. Very strong ressitance at 23.5.

If it breaks to 24 then we are in for a good ride possibly to 30. Otherwise we might see it come down again. BTW i bought some at 17.5, purely speculative and am holding tight to see if the resistance is broken.
