D&B....they've simply missed out on customer satisfaction! Am a member there but am moving my shares to CFC. D&B deactivated their online trading 1 year ago,(its the biggest mistake they did!) i have been asking when it will be active & the answer is the same old irritating song of soon! @ 2012, i beg to differ with you on the execution of trades....you will have to wait for the settlement of the CDSC for your order to go through next week probably on Tuesday...or are you trading using the prompt board? that one i would agree with you.
@mBiaLoss...change your broker to CFC they have the best trading platform in kenya with the help of mystocks.co.ke. They are fast in execution of trades, their online trading platform is awesome, you are able to analyse the market with some few trading tools they provide, what else do you need? Compare this platform with any other...tell me if you will get anything close to this platform. Here is their link: http://www.mystocks.co.ke/

They are not accepting orders through email so I suggest you be going to their offices between now and when their online trading is sorted.

@2012 I have been buying and selling with them as you outlined in your last post. My complain is not that they have traded outside the price ranges I give them. My problem right now is that they have not responded to any of my emails for 3 weeks now! and so am not sure what is going on. As I said I have picked the phone almost daily to call them, every time I mention what am calling about, the receptionist just hangs up. That sucks really big time!!!!
You mentioned that they are not accepting orders by email. The question is when did they stop? When will they start? Why could not give us notice of that in advance so that we can plan on alternatives? That is if they are competent and really care about their customers?
As an investor I behave like a tick, patiently waiting on grass and larch onto the first cow that shows up. As an investor I dont behave like a tick...I jump off the the cow as soon as am fully engorged before it dies...

I got a notice through email. It's clear now that it was selective.
The biggest issue I have with Dyer is payment (cheques). I don't know if it's just me but the cheques are never ready when they said they'll be, mara someone hasn't signed mara the cheque is with.... etc. excuses kibao. But I hear you @mBiaLoss and sympathies with your situation.

I don't think you can just move your shares from one broker to the other but you can trade with other brokers using your CDS.
But that aside, can you trade online with them and do they have many branches?

Delay in payment of cheques mean but one sign...they are facing financial difficulties...hope they wont follow the Nyaga,Thuo, discount way.
The utimate goal of investing is to buy low sell high;if we re-write this core equation in psychology terms it becomes buy fear sell greed.

I don't think they're experiencing cashflow issues. Their problem is communication and a don't care attitude they forget that poor communication always leads to anxiety and negative speculation.

Try AA.
Been hearing rumours of another broker with liquidity issues for a couple of months.
Thought it was Suntra/AIB, but it could also be D&B...

suntra are fine, but rumour is iko another broker experiencing cash-flow problems, and the main share-holder is desperately trying to get an investor on board before release of broker financials

I also don't think D&B has any cash flow issues. Rather JM, could be intoxicated with cash and especially after exit of Hassan who could have moderated activities in the office. The staff have on one lead them and lack motivatetion. Just my assessment but I'm also leaving to GengHis. Somebody is waiting 6 months do online!

Have heard a lot abt D&B inefficies and liquidity issues facing Suntra. That aside,if you're you trade alot and especially online and through e-mails, Cfc would serve you best. They have the best trading platform i.e.trades are executed on real time basis.Visit their offices@ stanbic house.

My friend count on me, CFC Stanbic Financial Services (CSFS) is all that U need. I was out of the country for a year and I did all the transactions at the comfort of my laptop. Their online platform is the best. You can even request for an EFT for any amount above 200K to your account as long as they have your A/C No in their system. Beta still if you have your an A/C with the bank you can do online transfer. What else are you looking for! A lady by the name Susan will always reply your email within 15 minutes.. .. At times I wonder! Men its time to move!!

@2012 you can always move your shares from one broker to another so long as you have no debts.however, you should make an effort to know more about the broker you intend to move to as there some whose licenses have not been renewed.

I honestly don't know why anyone bothers with D & B.If you are not a big customer, forget about it.Service bure kabisa....

Genghis Capital is in my opinion one of the best...fast and excellent email response..talking from experience and the guys are as straight as an arrow..
