Safaricom and 3G license

Now that the price for a 3G license has been dropped from $25 million to $10 million will Safaricom get their $15 million refund? Do you guys think they have a legal case to demand one? It seems unfair for them to invest all that money in 2007 only to have their competitors get cheaper rates as soon as Safaricom starts getting real traction in the data market.

If at all they are, we are also entitled to a refund for calls we made at sh 54 per minute.

Utter nonsense... no-one forced you make the calls using Safaricom... AND everyone charged crazy rates...

You had a choice of suppliers! Zain, Telkom, Safaricom... Why didn't you choose the cheapest (not the better) option?

Safaricom had no choice but buy/license from CCK/GOK... There was a single supplier...

Zain, Telkom/Orange & Safaricom all had an equal chance...

Only YU/Econet was given a raw deal...

If safcom gets that refund they shld also refund all those who bought their expensive data bundles.....and to all those who subscribe to their expensive data rates...
