General Migush is in the same boat
The funny thing is these people are aware of the law (constitutionality or lack thereof notwithstanding) yet refuse to comply with the law and then cry to the courts, yet said laws are in the books and have not been declared unconstiutional yet.

How much energy does it take to go to Nyayo house fill a two page paper, present the foreign passport and walk home with your dual citizenship? Surely only an extremely lazy man cannot do this in good time.

Indeed. Isatragedy. I don't sympathise with these sorts of cases. People who believe they are above the law that everybody else follows. And the requirements of that law are not even burdensome.

He will win that case. That is an archaic requirement that serves no purpose other than servitude to the gov't.

No idea, but whoever I know has declared dual has had serious challenges getting their new passport...

I am curious; at what point did they declare dual? Is it during the PP renewal or prior?

I guess that they have consult the other country where you are also a citizen and get a green light/no objection before they process your kenyan pp, and that can take time.

Do they issue a new passport after you declare that you hold a passport of another country?

You are only required to inform these people about your dual citizenship. It is not illegal not to. But what I know is that that declare take an longer time than normal to get their passports. Why? You tell me, because it is not anchored in any law.

Some of these laws were supposed to have been removed by akina Nyachae. But he was too busy wishing to become governor of some place or another.

He will win that case hands down. Just like Miguna did.

The law permits those who previously revoked their citizenship to regain it back and get issued with an ID and passport.

My question is, if i have acquired a Cypress passport then I declare at Nyayo, are they going to issue a new Kenyan passport? Why?

How can something that is less than 10 years old be described as "archaic"?

Don't confuse things here.

As a dual citizen you can have more than 1 passport. Nothing to do with revoking or delaying. I'm still a f***ing citizen. Maybe I'm supposed to follow a process but the Miguna case finished the process issue.

As for this guy asking me about a law being sijui 10 years old, you really need to go back to school. I can't help you.

Kenyans are being abused by the people in this system to deny them their rights. That's what it is.

The guy is a Cypriot but like the Miguna case he's still a Kenyan. Give him his passport. He can elect which one to use when traveling.

I personally have had enough of these imigration fellas.
