Such a needless loss of innocent lives...

But i can't help recalling sometime in the mid 2000s when Nbi was hosting the ICC world cup, i guess.
NZ boycotted the event on account of insecurity, read terrorism,in Kenya.

A positive thing about such events is that we get an opportunity to look at how we use language to resolve our inner tension. And when we see how we use language, we get a glimpse of how our minds are working.

For example: how have we classified this event, and how does this classification indicate our thinking?

In the first instance, it appears that many of us are happy to classify this event as a 'terrorist' act. The basis of this classification is an eagerness for the classification, the New Zealand government assertion, and there's other reason of MO, and in particular, the reason of live streaming.

Are these reasons sufficient for the classification? Could the word 'terrorism' be suffering from misuse?

When we jump into the classification bandwagon what happens next? Could we be unwittingly allowing governments to be more oppressive? An example of this could be in the case of Shemuma Begum the young girl who joined ISIS at fifteen, got pregnant... And recently lost her citizenship to any country, and by extension had her son killed constructively.

Does our desire for this classification help us to dodge human, not just civic duty?

In the end, when we accept such classification blindly, we become members of the same class, and sustain the recurrence of similar acts. We are legitimizing the acts.

Looks like it was mounted on his forehead.
they rushed to one corner at the sound of the first shot, at least 3/4 of them, no wonder the fatalities were high.
A woman managed to escape, but she wasn't too lucky. This is one sick mind.

My point was...

1) a deranged lone wolf with psychological problems - is a moniker for WHITE PERSON
2) a terrorist - a muslim
3) a thug - a "brother" i.e. African American, A person of color

the idea of the "lone wolf" is designed to distance the actions of this person from the rest of society... a deranged individual with psychological problems. the rest of the labels are used to associate the attacker with their groups of origin.

Remember, when a white person does something great - IT'S ATTRIBUTED TO THE GROUP. When he does something bad - IT'S ATTRIBUTED TO THE INDIVIDUAL. When a black person or a person of color does something great - IT'S ATTRIBUTED TO THE INDIVIDUAL, when the person of color does something bad - IT'S ATTRIBUTED TO THE GROUP!

Mavegs put it right.

Senator Fraser Anning claiming Muslim immigration is responsible for today's terrorist attack! It is sickening to see such senseless comments, he is fostering hatred.

Maybe the New Zealanders had lived in peace and quiet since the founding of their nation but due to recent immigration they can no longer have any sleep in the morning due to the morning loudspeaker call for prayer. Maybe that drove them to the wall.

Fact: New Zealand is not original land to the occupying whites. Neither is Australia. Check your history.
