@Mawinder, kuddos for you renting in Runda. Renting in Nyari was not the point.
The point is one can earn 450k monthly net income bila kuiba & get rich enough someday to own a hao in Nyari & drive an S-class. Not today dude, in the future.

Brokers can make big money, I remember some land I was brokering at Imara Daima ( still on sale) it was 6.5 acres going for 140m each that is 940 M, I got 2 buyers negotiated a 3% commission with the seller and a 1.5 % commsion with the buyer if I oversaw the whole deal successfully ( they were all to deposit into an escrow account, I was looking at a cool 40m straight from college, somehow lost the buyers but if you imagine guys doing this daily then yes it's possible.

ihub ni pr tu. What the few successful ones are doing is to create apps that appeal to NGOs, secure donor funding and pay yourself international salaries with the donor funds

Farming and NSE fall under owning/managing a business that deals with essential goods and services


Technology companies are starting to make real cash in Kenya. The industry has generated a few USD Millionaires already e.g. Cellulant Group, local company that got 50M USD in investment while being valued at 100M USD. Not to mention JamboPay that handles the payments for collection of parking fees and NHIF.

The trick is that the people in an industry making cash have the most incentive to stay quiet.
