I don't have many NIC but I have a long history with it.
It used to belong to StanChart, as the majority shareholder, then to BBK which spun it off. Then the Ndegwas came in and merged it with AmBank.

2019 might be a good year if KK, Unga (maybe - if Seaboard makes another attempt) and NIC close in my favor.

I hope another buyer pops up for NIC to create a bidding war!

NIC is in bad shape. Expect no bidding war

CBA Assets 238B, NIC Assets 200B. They operate in similar markets geographically. Looks like a merger to me.

But not of equals or 50:50 sharing.
Lets wait to see the finer details


CBa BV = 104/-
NIC = 54/-

So PAT if you combine them straight line which obviously doesn’t work that way would be 9.1B as a best case scenario. 400B in assets =9.1B PAT

I think heightened oversight prevented insider trading ahead of the announcement and market manipulation.
